Many people do not understand what self-compassion is, and how it can help them through tough times. We all have moments where life doesn’t go how we want it to, or we haven’t behaved how we would have liked. Our inner critic can kick in mercilessly and we can ruminate on what has gone wrong. The aim this workshop is to describe self-compassion, dispel some common myths and provide some pointers to how one can develop self-compassion. This talk is based on the work of Dr Kristin Neff. It is for women who give themselves a hard time or put others first at the expense of their well-being.
