  • Nicola Dames is a nurse, a wife, a patient, a mother and a business women. Diagnosed in 2001 with Ulcerative Colitis, which lead to Stoma surgery in 2006. Nic joined the ACPGBI (Association of coloproctology GB& Ireland) PLG (Patient Liasion Group) 5years ago, her passion for patient involvement in research as well as patient led research resulted in becoming a published first author of a major study published in Colorectal Disease.

  • Dr Carly Hughes was an NHS GP for 30 years. She also set up and ran an award winning specialist weight management service based in primary care. She has been on NICE Obesity committees, published multiple research papers, produced education resources for GPs, and lectures nationally and internationally.

  • Prior to being elected, Sarah graduated from the School of Journalism, Media & Communication at Cardiff University with a MA in Digital Media & Society and worked for the Data Justice Lab. Her research focused on UK and international governments’ use of big data and algorithmic-design for public services, as well as AI in the workplace which is published in Transfer: European Journal of Labour and Research.

  • Diane Danzebrink is a personal and corporate consultant, speaker, educator and the author of Making Menopause Matter.   • Since 1987, I have been a television, radio, film and theatre actress. I am married and a mother of three children. I have played the part of Eileen in Pobol y Cwm since 1989.

    I am a survivor of sexual abuse perpetrated by a man when I was a young child. As a result, my

    mental and physical health has been impacted but with the support of family, counsellors, specialist police and close friends, I have survived. Although years later the police questioned the man who sexually abused me, it was not possible to secure a conviction due to lack of

    evidence.

  • Jacky Boivin is a Professor at Cardiff University. Her research has been organized around a set of interrelated questions that address how and why psychological factors affect fertility, from understanding the  processes that underpin the desire and timing of having children through to the  adaptation process when attempts to conceive succeed or fail. The trajectory of her research has been informed by developments in reproductive medicine and,  conversely, it has informed practice and policy in reproductive health.  Additionally, she has interests in more general topics in health and developmental psychology including how to communicate health-related science/news and the origins of child developmental disorders.  

  • Dr Helen Munro is a Consultant in Community Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare with Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB), SW Wales. From April 2024 she has been seconded to the NHS Executive as Clinical Lead for the Strategic Clinical Network for Women’s Health and lead the development of the first Women’s Health Plan for Wales, published on the 10th December 2024. She also continues to work clinically as a Specialist in Menopause Care.

  • Suzanne Vernazza is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and Founding Director of Know Your Floors - a not-for-profit company aiming to improve awareness and education in pelvic health. She has over 20 years experience of working in the NHS and privately, and has worked solely as a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist for the last 8 years.   Through her work in Know Your Floors She has created the #squeezealong on social media which now has a following of over 630K people on TikTok. Suzanne hopes to dispel myths, get people talking about pelvic health, promote prevention and encourage people to access support for any symptoms they develop.

  • Dr Frances Yarlett is an NHS GP in Sheffield and Medical Director for The Lowdown, the UK's women's health research platform which helps over 1 million women each year find answers to questions about their reproductive health using innovative digital tools and the real life experiences of others.

  • Jess is a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, practicing in both private settings and the NHS, with a focus on bladder, bowel, and pelvic pain. She's passionate about education and eager to break down stigmas surrounding women's and pelvic health. Jess is committed to empowering individuals to understand their bodies with confidence and knowledge.

  • Dr. Aziza Sesay is an NHS General Practitioner, GP educator, Honorary Senior Clinical lecturer, host, speaker and health content creator. She has a strong passion for health education, awareness, advocacy and empowerment.   • Hazel Hayden is a Consultant Nurse and a British Menopause Society Registered Specialist and trainer with a passion for empowering women through every stage of menopause. She’s also trained in sleep and insomnia therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for menopause, and has a diploma in nutrition. As a member of both the International Menopause Society and the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders, Hazel stays at the forefront of advancements in women's health.

  • Dr Michelle Olver is a Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive and leads the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Menopause Service. As the founder of South Wales Menopause Clinic, she prides herself in giving holistic, individualised evidence-based care to her patients. 

  • I have been a GP for over 30 years and am a British Menopause Society menopause specialist. I'm the founder and lead for the NHS specialist menopause service for Somerset and do online and in person educational sessions about menopausal health for both clinicians and patients.   • Dr Mandy Leonhardt is a UK based General Practitioner, menopause specialist, certified nutritionist and the author of two books: “The Complete Guide to POI and Early Menopause” and “What Every Woman Needs to Know About Her Skin and Hair - How the Hormones on the Inside affect you on the Outside “.

    Dr Leonhardt took part in the Channel 5 program “Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos” where she was featured in Episode 2 which covered perimenopause and menopause. 

  • Linia is a leading Dietitian, Sports Nutritionist and public health researcher with extensive experience in several nutrition settings including women’s health, performance nutrition corporate wellness and public health. She is a British Dietetic Association Spokesperson and is regularly seen on appearing on national TV and being quoted in the press. She also has a PhD in Public Health.   • Molly is a young women’s health advocate and Founder of ‘The Love Your Period Campaign,’ which encourages conversations around stigmatised topics following her own brain tumour diagnosis. By addressing gaps that the support leaflets didn’t cover, Molly helps shape policies and programs in collaboration with her healthboard and third-sector organisations to better support young people with their health.

  • Clare is the Cancer Services Programme Manger for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. She has a masters in Public health and Health promotion, and has been working with Skin Cancer Nurse, Bernadette Tenorio to develop an education session on Spotting the Signs of Skin Cancer.

  • I’m Dr Liz O’Riordan, a breast surgeon who’s had breast cancer. I’m an author and a speaker and I’m passionate about educating women about their health. My secret weapon is myth-busting. After speaking at Everywoman in 2024, I was blown away by the talks and workshops on offer. It was incredible to see girls and women buzzing and I knew I had to get involved. I’m proud to be an ambassador for this incredible event. This year is bigger and better, with a new menopause tent and a focus on body image. I’ll see you there for a selfie!

  • Jody Parker is a consultant colorectal and emergency general surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales. As a bowels and bottom doctor she can answer your questions on common conditions. She has a specialist interest in advanced colorectal cancer. At home she lives with her husband, two children and a miniature dachshund.

  • Gillian McCabe is a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist, co-owner of Gillian McCabe Physio Ltd & Station House Health & Wellbeing. She has a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of the West of England, Bristol (2004) and a Masters level qualifications in pelvic health physiotherapy from the University of Bradford (2015). She is passionate about helping women achieve their pelvic health goals and loves seeing women grow in confidence and become more active and lead healthier lifestyles.

  • Emma Carrington is an academic consultant colorectal surgeon with a specialist practice in pelvic floor disorders, neurogastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease.

    She works in St Marys Hospital and is a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.

  • Brigitte has over 25 years’ experience in the field of bowel dysfunction. Her career has progressed from working within an acute colorectal ward to becoming a CNS in Stoma Care and up until just over 5 years ago was the Lead Nurse within the Biofeedback service at St Marks Hospital, London for 14 years, where she was able to complete an MSc in GI nursing and degree module for Nurse Prescribing.

    Since 2018 she has taken up the post of clinical education and is now ‘Head of Clinical Education’ for Qufora Ltd.

  • Tolu Ekong is a consultant colorectal surgeon specialising in pelvic floor disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. She is passionate about empowering women with knowledge about their bodies, helping them understand the available support, and encouraging them to advocate for themselves. Tolu is also the founder of the Oaks Health Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing free medical treatment, health education, and the refurbishment of health centres across Nigeria.

  • Geeta Nayar is a Senior Associate Solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, Advocate for The MASIC Foundation and Birth Trauma Association, and Make Birth Better Champion.

    Geeta trained with Irwin Mitchell and qualified as a solicitor in 2002. She was promoted to Associate in 2005 and specialised in neurotrauma and complex medical negligence cases representing both adults and children. She worked closely with several charities to support injured clients including Headway and AVMA,  was Vice-chair of UKABIF (United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum) and co-founded the London Acquired Brain Injury Forum (ABIL).

    Geeta has been closely involved with The MASIC Foundation since it launched to improve the prevention and detection of OASI (obstetric anal sphincter injuries) and speaks widely about her own experience and the long term impact to give visibility to women with these devastating injuries.

  • Hi I'm Melanie, Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist working with the pelvic floor team alongside Julie Cornish. Throughout my career I've  always had an interest in the psychosexual aspect of health and have incorporated this into my practice in all the specialties I have worked in, such as women's health, oncology, people with  long-term conditions, neurology, surgery and medicine. Constantly  seizing the opportunity to promote psychosexual health as the opportunity  arises, be that in my clinics or  presenting at conferences and TV appearances.
